11th Annual BISD Easter Coloring Contest

We are gearing up for our 11th annual Easter Coloring Contest! All Burleson ISD elementary schools had their coloring sheets delivered on Friday, March 28th. Contest deadline is Friday, April 11th. We'll be displaying K-1st and 4th - 5th grade at the Alsbury location and 2nd - 3rd grade at the Wilshire location the week of April 14th. Coloring sheets will be judged by advanced art students from BHS and CHS on April 16th. 1st - 6th place winners in each of those three categories will be notified and can come by and pick up their prizes. The first and second place schools with the highest percentages of participation will win cash for their school libraries. The most improved school based on last year's percentage of participation will also win a cash prize. Last year we had over 2,600 coloring sheets displayed! Good luck to everyone participating!

Relay for Life Fundraising

It's time for our team to begin raising funds to benefit the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life! Please join us in the fight against cancer. Go online to donate through our team directly online by clicking on the Relay for Life logo above or come by either location and drop your change in our jars for our "Change Makes a Lot of Cents" coin drive.

Debit cards used at Michael's and Target stores cancelled and re-issued.

As a preemptive measure to protect our customers from the fraudulent activity occurring as a result of the security breach at Target stores and Michael's stores, the bank is cancelling and reissuing any debit cards that were used at either store during the time period in question. The bank will be making courtesy phone calls to affected customers. We appreciate your patience during this time. If you have any questions or concerns, please call customer service at 817-295-0461.

Checks Presented for Holiday Charities

Throughout November and early December, our staff has been collecting donations benefitting both Harvest House’s Holiday Friends and Heart for the Kids’ Christmas Program to help feed families in need and provide toys and clothes to children. The red paper candy canes we had on the windows designated donations from contributors. As an annual tradition, employees of First National Bank of Burleson are encouraged to participate in the holiday fundraising campaigns. In addition to collecting monetary donations, the Bank “adopts” a family during Thanksgiving and then another family during Christmas. Employees will buy groceries and other necessities for each needy family to ensure they are not forgotten during the holiday season. Both locations also had angel trees with children needing toys for Christmas through the Holiday Friends campaign at Harvest House and through the Christmas Program at Heart for the Kids. Thank you to all of our customers and employees for your contributions!

A check is presented from FNBB staff to Heart for the Kids.
